While Oslo Airport is the most common arrival point, Norway also has several other major airports that serve international and domestic flights:

- Stavanger Airport (Sola) – ideal for exploring the southwest coast.
- Trondheim Airport (Værnes) – a gateway to central and northern Norway.
These airports support regional travel and may be used for connecting flights or specific tours of Norway that begin outside the capital.
The primary language spoken in Norway is Norwegian, which is used in everyday life, education, and government. In addition to Norwegian, Sami languages—spoken by the indigenous Sami people—are used in certain northern regions of the country.
However, if you're planning to join Norway escorted tours or explore the country independently, you’ll be pleased to know that English is widely spoken throughout Norway. Most Norwegians speak English fluently as a second language, especially in cities, tourist areas, and within the hospitality industry. This makes communication easy and stress-free for travellers on Norway tours.
The official currency used in Norway is the Norwegian krone, which is abbreviated as “kr”. Each krone is subdivided into 100 øre, although øre coins are no longer in common circulation.
If you're planning escorted tours to Norway or exploring the country independently through tours of Norway, it's helpful to know that most places accept card payments, and contactless transactions are widely used. Currency exchange services are available at airports, banks, and hotels, but many travellers find it convenient to use debit or credit cards throughout their stay.
